Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City are interested in picking up Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi this month, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
The 28-year-old returned to the Nerazzurri in the summer after spending last season on loan with Monza, where he scored three goals and provided two assists across 28 Serie A matches. He’s not been a part of Simone Inzaghi’s squad this term, seeing just 65 minutes of action across four games.
Leicester suffered relegation from the Premier League last season but are on track to instantly return to the topflight, sitting 10 points clear at the top of the Championship after 26 matches, being a class above their peers in the division.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Leicester are keen to pick up Sensi this month and have been in contact with the midfielder, with coach Maresca trying to convince him of the move. No official offer has been sent to Inter yet but that could change in the coming weeks.
The 28-year-old’s contract expires with the club at the end of this season. His five-year spell with the Nerazzurri has proven disappointing following his early promise, with injuries seriously disrupting his time in the Lombardy capital.
