There are mixed reports on Matias Soulé tonight, with suggestions Leicester City are offering Juventus €30m plus €5m in add-ons, but that the player prefers Roma, with the Alexis Saelemaekers issue too.

The Argentine spent last season on loan at Frosinone, but is owned by Juventus, who hope to sell him for a big profit this summer that can then fund their swoop for Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners.

According to Sportitalia this evening, Leicester City are ready to increase their original rejected proposal to reach €30m plus another €5m in add-ons.

This is a figure that would satisfy the Bianconeri, close to their original €40m asking price.

Soulé saga drags on

However, Sky Sport Italia insist that Soulé would much prefer to remain in Serie A and join Roma instead, agreeing personal terms with the Stadio Olimpico side.

Their offer would be much lower than Leicester City, circa €20m plus €5m in bonuses, but with the player setting his sights firmly on them.

It would also seem that Soulé’s hesitation has got through to the Foxes, as Sportitalia revealed today that Leicester had also made an offer for Milan right-sided winger Alexis Saelemaekers.

That was close to the €10-12m asking price and the 25-year-old Belgium international would cost less than half Soulé.

If Leicester City do get that deal done, could they let go of the Juventus talent and leave him to Roma?
