Leicester City are looking for a new left back ahead of the January transfer window and could look to make a move for Inter’s Robin Gosens, reports suggest.

The 28-year-old German full back has struggled to show his best in Lombardy following his arrival from Atalanta earlier this year. Gosens initially dealt with a hamstring injury last season and this campaign he’s hardly made an impact, remaining a backup option behind Matteo Darmian. He was linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but turned it down to stay with Inter.

As reported by FcInterNews, Gosens’ chances at Inter are still incredibly limited and he may be happy to make a move away in January, with Leicester a possible destination. Brendan Rogers’ side need a new left back and they could reignite their interest in the German, a player they were keen to pick up two years ago during his time in Bergamo.

The Foxes have an excellent relationship with his representative Paolo Busardò, which could help facilitate a move, but much also depends on how this Premier League season progresses for the team, who currently sit bottom of the table in England.

  1. Oh boy… Bottom of the table Leicester.

Then again, it’s hard to see why anyone would want Gosens right now, so maybe it is a good fit. His crossing, while at Inter, has looked rather poor.
