Claudio Ranieri, Silvio Berlusconi, Giuseppe Bergomi, Paulo Roberto Falcao, Nils Liedholm, Paolo Rossi and Cesare Maldini are added to the Italian Football Hall of Fame.

Another 10 figures were inducted today into the ceremonial group that was started by the FIGC in 2011.

They are people who have made an indelible mark on the history of calcio.

The 1982 World Cup winners Bergomi and Rossi were added along with Roma legend Falcao, Leicester City manager Ranieri and Milan President Berlusconi.

Also included were referee Graziano Cesari and women’s football star Melania Gabbiadini – the sister of Napoli striker Manolo.

Honorary awards were announced for Liedholm, Giulio Campanati and Maldini.

The presentation ceremony will be held in January and the winners are asked to hand over a symbolic item representing their careers that will remain in the Museo del Calcio at Coverciano.
