Spanish side Leganes are turning away from Roma outcast Juan Manuel Iturbe and towards Juventus-owned Mame Thiam instead.

According to Sky Sport Italia, their initial plan to go for Iturbe is close to being abandoned, as he is considered too expensive.

Instead, Thiam is climbing up the rankings and far easier to get to.

The 24-year-old has just returned from a loan spell at Empoli and his contract is due to expire in June 2018.

Thiam had loan experiences at Virtus Lanciano, Zulte Waregem, PAOK Salonika and Empoli.
