Lega Serie A intend to set up a new agreement with Saudi Arabia for both the Supercoppa Italiana and the league, reports detail.
Inter and Milan faced off in the Supercoppa final in Riyadh on Wednesday, playing out the last super cup in Saudi Arabia as per the current agreement.
It was a positive night for the league, with the match bringing revenues of around €7.5m, and there are already plans for a new deal with Saudi Arabia.
As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lega Serie A are looking to set up a new deal with Saudi Arabia, continuing to play the Supercoppa Italiana in the country.
The figures of the agreement could rise to €23m, should Lega Serie A agree to change the format of the competition from a one-off final to a final four, similar to the Supercopa de España.
Talks could go further than just the Supercoppa Italiana, however, as there are also plans to possibly play an entire Serie A match day abroad.
