Leeds United have reportedly changed their offer for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie and are now discussing a loan with option to buy for €30m plus bonuses.

The Bianconeri had already not been entirely convinced by the initial bid of €28m, which then increased to €30m plus add-ons, as their asking price was €35m.

Now Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims Leeds have adjusted the formula of the deal, which would now be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season, but the overall figures remain the same.

That is not something Juve are necessarily eager to accept, considering they want fresh funds guaranteed to help balance the books, but it could speed up the process with only a few days left in the transfer window.

The 24-year-old United States international is under contract with Juventus until June 2025, but as he was purchased for a total €25m from Schalke 04, they want to get a large cash sum for his sale.
