A closely fought match is anticipated according to these Serie A Lecce vs. Sassuolo predictions. Just three points separate the two sides in the league table, with both struggling for consistency this season.

Lecce vs. Sassuolo odds

1 – Lecce to win – 11/7

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 4/5

3 – Both teams to score – 11/10

4 – Lorenzo Colombo to score anytime – 23/10

5 – Assan Ceesay to score anytime – 23/10

Sassuolo travel to the Stadio Ettore Giardino on Saturday to face Lecce, looking to bounce back following their first defeat in five games. Alessio Dionisi’s side have been on a solid run of form, beating the likes of Milan and Atalanta in recent weeks, although they were always likely to fall at the hands of league leaders Napoli.

For Lecce, the past few match days have been similarly impressive, securing a draw against Roma before overcoming Atalanta last weekend. Marco Baroni’s side have only lost two matches since the start of November, with their awful start to the season quickly becoming a recent memory.

Saturday’s clash is therefore likely to pit two teams in similar form against one another. Both will be disappointed with their current league standing, especially given results in the new year, and a win for Lecce could see them climb into the top half of the table. Three points for the visitors would see them overtake their hosts but, given the form of the Giallorossi, we back a home win this weekend.

It would be a surprise to see Lecce run away with a victory on Saturday though. Marco Baroni’s side have yet to score more than two goals in Serie A this season and have only kept one clean sheet in their last six games. Sassuolo have been far from prolific themselves, averaging just over one goal per game in the league. As a result, a wager on under 2.5 goals scored or on both teams to score could well pay off.

One reason for both sides’ struggles in front of goal is the lack of a prolific goalscorer. Assan Ceesay and Lorenzo Colombo are yet to hit five goals each in their respective campaigns. But, given the goalscoring return last week from the former, we back the Lecce man to score at anytime on Saturday.
