Lecce midfielder Ylber Ramadani confirmed that he’s held talks with Inter director Piero Ausilio and discussed his ‘big motivation’ to join the club.

The 27-year-old arrived at the Puglian outfit this summer from Aberdeen in a deal worth just €1.2m. He penned a three-year contract with an option for a fourth.

Ramadani has impressed in his first few months of life in Italy, seeing over 1100 minutes of action across 13 matches in Serie A and the Coppa Italia. In that time, he’s proven his abilities as a strong defensive midfielder.

Speaking to Analuzy Kuqezi via TMW, Ramadani first discussed a conversation he had recently with Inter director Ausilio.

“He was in Tirana, I met Ausilio, and we stayed for a long time talking. For me it’s a very big motivation, I can’t stop working to go to Inter.”

The 27-year-old Albanian midfielder then spoke about the idea of playing with his compatriot Kristjan Asllani at the Nerazzurri.

“I adapt very quickly. Asllani is more technical than me, but I do other things. I can play with one or two central midfielders, no problem.”

Finally, Ramadani made a promise regarding Inter’s rivals Milan.

“If I score a goal at Milan, I’ll come back to do an interview with the shirt.”

Inter are on the hunt for the Scudetto this season and may look to bolster their midfield in the January transfer window with a low-cost option.
