Lecce ultras travelling for this evening’s Serie A match with Roma have been ambushed by Bari hooligans, with their bus set on fire.
The game is due to kick off at the Stadio Olimpico at 17.00 GMT.
According to the Corriere Salentino newspaper, hundreds of Bari ultras were waiting for the Lecce fans as they arrived at a motorway service station in Cerignola.
It’s reported they were surrounded and attacked, with violent clashes in the road and the service station.

Bari and Lecce are local rivals, even though the former were forced to start again from Serie D following bankruptcy.
