Rafael Leao has been one of the protagonists of Milan’s season as they fight for the Scudetto and his market value has soared as a result.
The 22-year-old Portuguese winger has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 27 Serie A appearances so far this campaign, being a dangerous and exciting forward who only briefly struggles with inconsistency. Considering his age, it’s clear that the Rossoneri have a true star on their hands.
Milan are preparing to extend Leao’s contract to 2026 soon, keeping him tied to the club for the foreseeable future. This will only further add to his market value, which has already doubled in only 12 months.
Transfermarkt suggests that Leao is worth around €50m, but the CIES Football Observatory feel that he’s worth a little more, raising the bar to €70m. A year ago he was only worth around €25m, a sign of his explosive growth under Stefano Pioli this season.
