Rafael Leao left Milan and their fans concerned after being forced off the pitch just 11 minutes into their win over Lazio, but he reassured them when leaving San Siro.

The 23-year-old Portuguese forward was replaced by Alexis Saelemaekers after a little over 10 minutes of the Rossoneri’s home clash with the Biancocelesti, having seemingly suffered a muscle issue.

Leao is a central figure of Stefano Pioli’s Milan squad and is expected to be one of their key players in their Champions League semi-final clash with intercity rivals Milan. The first leg of this European Derby della Madonnina kicks off next week.

As reported by Sport Mediaset, Leao left the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza without any physical issues, reassuring fans as he walked out. When asked about his condition, he quickly responded: “Fine, fine. Nothing serious.”

The Rossoneri will be hoping for the 23-year-old to be fully fit for their Champions League semi-final first leg against Inter on May 10.
