Rafael Leao raged at a journalist in the San Siro mixed zone after Milan-Roma on Thursday and Sky Sport Italia correspondent Manuele Baiocchini has explained the Rossoneri star was particularly frustrated after being targeted by boos from his own fans.

It was a highly disappointing night for Leao, who not only saw his Milan side 1-0 to Roma in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday but was also booed by part of the San Siro crowd when subbed off in the second half.

Sky Sport Italia correspondent Manuele Baiocchini explained on Friday afternoon from Milanello that Leao was particularly ‘hurt’ and frustrated by loud criticism from a portion of Milan supporters.

Therefore, his anger erupted in the mixed zone when he came face to face with a local TV reporter.

Despite a disappointing performance last night, Leao has already reached double figures for goals and assists this season, contributing to 24 goals in 39 matches for the Rossoneri.
