Stefano Pioli has started to recover almost all of his Milan squad following the international break, welcoming back Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic today.
The latest round of international fixtures were mostly friendly matches as UEFA teams prepare for the coming European Championship and CONMEBOL teams gear up for the Copa America. Both tournaments kick off in June, capping off the 2023-24 season.
Milan sit in a strange spot with just over two months left of the campaign, sitting 14 points behind league leaders Inter and 11 points ahead of fifth place Roma, all but guaranteeing their participation in next season’s Champions League.
TMW highlights how Pioli will only have his full Milan squad available from Thursday onwards, but the majority of those away have started to come back now, with Leao, Pulisic and Yunus Musah all returning to Milanello today.
The majority of the players carried out low-impact individual work on the training ground today whilst Simon Kjaer will undergo a new round of tests later this week following the issue he suffered whilst away with Denmark.
