“The coach showed us clips from the game we played against Atalanta, so we’re aware of what went wrong, but the result still doesn’t reflect the full performances of the two teams,” Lazzari told Lazio Style Channel of their 4-1 home defeat.
“We created six or seven chances to score against a great team. We know our strengths and that we need to improve in certain areas. It’s only Week 3, it’s early days, but every match is still worth three points and so we have to be ready.
“Inter are a top side and every year they strengthen with new quality buys. It’ll be even tougher than last season for us, but Lazio can cause Inter problems.”
Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi both focus on a three-man defence and that could make it an intriguing chess match.
“We’ll both have the same tactical system, so it’s going to be a duel all over the field and we must out-do them in terms of intensity and quality. It’s the only way to bring home a positive result.”
