If Maurizio Sarri does take the Lazio job, then Manuel Lazzari could be reunited with Simone Inzaghi at Inter, providing the ideal replacement for Achraf Hakimi.

Inzaghi will be announced as the new Inter coach tomorrow, while Sarri is the favourite to replace him at Lazio, although negotiations are continuing.

Should those situations be resolved, FCInterNews.it note Lazzari is primed to follow Inzaghi to San Siro.

That’s because Lazzari struggles to fit into Sarri’s 4-3-3 formation and was chosen for Lazio precisely because he already impressed in a 3-5-2 at SPAL in 2019.

He provided two goals and six assists this season, as well as numerous strong runs and counter-attacks to create chances.

Inter are in the process of selling Hakimi to PSG, although the offer is still a long way off the €80m asking price.

If Hakimi does leave, Inzaghi could think of no better replacement than Lazzari, who knows him so well from their Lazio experience.
