Lazio have announced on their official website that they’ve postponed training to a later date, after coming in for criticism for seeking to resume training tomorrow.

The Biancocelesti, along with Napoli, had pushed for their respective players to resume training at the earliest convenience, despite the country being in lockdown due to the on going Coronavirus pandemic.

This didn’t go down well with many in the Italian game, including President of the AIC Damiano Tommasi, and also Torino and Brescia President’s Urbano Cairo and Massimo Cellino.

However, Napoli announced last Friday that they will return to training next Wednesday.

The side from the capital have now suspended their intention to resume training tomorrow, according to a note on their official website.

Doctors in Italy have stated that teams in the country shouldn’t return to training any earlier than April 3.
