Lazio want both Maximiano and Provedel

Lazio remain very active, as it’s reported they are pushing for Spezia goalkeeper Ivan Provedel after Luis Maximiano had his medical.

The Biancocelesti were left without any shot-stoppers this summer, as both Pepe Reina and Thomas Strakosha left at the end of their contracts, joining Villarreal and Brentford respectively.

They already have one new signing, as Luis Maximiano had his medical today, ready to complete the €10m transfer from Granada.

Now Tuttomercatoweb claim Lazio are also in advanced negotiations with Spezia to bring in Provedel to compete with Maximiano for the gloves.

The 28-year-old impressed this season in the Spezia jersey, helping them to avoid relegation and secure their Serie A status.

In turn, Spezia are reportedly planning to replace Provedel with Sampdoria second choice goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone.

Meanwhile, Lazio have today officially signed both Alessio Romagnoli as a free agent from Milan and Mario Gila, the defender purchased outright from Real Madrid.
