Lazio haven’t yet received bids for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and will offer him a contract extension if he remains at the club beyond the summer.

The Serbia international was one of the best midfielders in Serie A in 2021-22, thanks to his 11 goals and 10 assists in 37 league appearances.

Considering his scintillating performances last season, SMS has been linked with many top clubs in Europe, from Manchester United to PSG but, according to Gazzetta and Calciomercato.com, Lazio haven’t yet received an offer for their star.

Milinkovic-Savic seemed destined to leave Lazio, but the Biancocelesti are still waiting for an offer for the 27-year-old.

The club’s asking price is €80m, but the club has reportedly informed the player’s agent Mateja Kezman that negotiations can begin from €65m.

The midfielder’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June 2024 and the Biancocelesti are aware that they’ll need to offer him a contract extension if he doesn’t leave.

However, the player and his agent are willing to leave the club, so any offer from Lazio will likely be rejected, exposing the club to the risk of losing their star for nothing in two years.
