Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio kick-off their Serie A campaign on Sunday afternoon as they take on Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Bologna. The Rossoblu have a solid record against their hosts and will hope to secure early points against the bookies’ favourites.

Lazio vs. Bologna odds

1 – Lazio to win – 3/5

2 – Immobile to score first – 11/4

3 – Only one team to score – 5/4

4 – Over 2.5 goals scored at 7/10

5 – Musa Barrow to score anytime – 3/1

Lazio welcome Bologna to the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday as the Serie A season gets back underway. The Aquile have handed Maurzio Sarri a number of key signings over the summer as they look to improve over last year’s fifth place finish.

The visitors also have room to improve over their last campaign, in which they finished 13th having struggled for consistency throughout. Unfortunately for Sinisa Mihajlovic, Sunday’s trip to Rome is likely to prove a difficult opening fixture.

Lazio are heavy favourites for the clash at the Stadio Olimpico and for good reason. Despite a poor pre-season the Aquile strengthened significantly over the summer with goalkeeping re-enforcements and the arrival of Alessio Romagnoli expected to bolster a previously shaky back-line.

Having managed to keep hold of key players Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic a bet on the hosts to win on Sunday should pay off, whilst a punt on Immobile, last season’s capocannoniere, to score first tends to pay dividends.

Interestingly, recent clashes between these two sides tend to swing heavily in either sides’ favour. Last season saw the home side win 3-0 on both occasions whilst neither team has lost to the other at home in the past three Serie A campaign. Both teams to score has paid off only twice in their last six meetings so past results may well point towards only one team scoring on Sunday, although a high score-line is also possible.

Recent failure to beat Lazio at home is unlikely to dishearten Mihajlovic who will be keen for his team to look for a win at the Stadio Olimpico. With two of the three Bologna players to score against Lazio last season moving this summer, a bet on the remaining forward Musa Barrow to bag anytime may be worth an outside bet.
