But the Aquile responded with a statement on their official website, claiming the report was out to disrupt the team, the club and the supporters.
“Lazio played the reigning World Champions, and it didn’t go as we hoped,” the statement said. “And everyone saw what happened on the pitch.
“The phrases reported today in a newspaper do not, however, represent the thought and state of mind of the team but, vice versa, a form of exploitation implemented by the usual suspects trying to break up a group, a club and supporters that have always been compact and united to achieve set targets.”
