Lazio players were called over to the Curva Nord after their 1-1 draw with Monza for a stern talking-to from the Ultras leaders, as the team was loudly jeered for poor results.

The Aquile have had the joint worst start to the Serie A season in the three points for a win era, managing only four points from the opening five rounds.

These included defeats to Lecce, Genoa and Juventus, beating Napoli away from home and drawing with Monza at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

At the final whistle, there were deafening jeers from the crowd, but that was not the end of it.

According to reports, the team went over to the Curva Nord to thank the crowd for their support, only to receive even louder insults.

The Ultras leaders then called over Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto, the old guard of the squad, to berate them and demand more commitment in the next match against Torino in the midweek round.

They stood there for circa three minutes while being lectured and urged to do better.
