Lazio will no longer have use of their own branded airplane after deciding to abandon the deal with the Bulgarian airline.

The club and President Claudio Lotito had proudly announced in November the introduction of their own plane last year, which would be used to fly the team to venues within Italy and around Europe.

Although at first it was reported to be a plane only for Lazio’s use, it later emerged they merely had use of it from a Bulgarian private company called Tayarnjet and the branding remained.

The plane was also a former Lufthansa jet that had been taken out of service due to its age, but refurbished by this Bulgarian company.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now claim that the one-year contract is coming to an end and will not be renewed, although negotiations have not been abandoned entirely.

Unless a new agreement is reached, Lazio will go back to making long journeys with charter flights.
