There’s over a week until the Biancocelesti will play against Atalanta in Serie A, as the calendar should be pushed by a week and the teams who played last week will have to wait whilst the League recovers the postponed fixtures from Week 26.

And Simone Inzaghi’s men have lined up to undergo tests in Paideia and according to Corriere dello Sport, the latest appointment has been made for the Brazilian midfielder.

The 33-year-old has reportedly struggled with a knee problem for a while and has been playing through the pain.

So far, he has appeared 22 times in Serie A and will now undergo examinations to determine the extent of the issue. The report claims that he should be able to proceed against La Dea and claims the tests are to reveal if there’s a serious matter behind the current trauma he experiences.

Lazio are top of Serie A ahead of Juventus-Inter at the Allianz Stadium this weekend and will only keep that position if the Old Lady doesn’t win against the Nerazzurri.
