Lazio are in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for attacking midfielder Julian Brandt, claim Sportitalia, as Roma intensify their approach for Filip Kostic.

Kostic had originally been a target for both Stadio Olimpico clubs, but Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia both confirm that Roma are now more interested in the Eintracht Frankfurt winger.

Giallorossi director Tiago Pinto reportedly met with Kostic’s agent Fali Ramadani today.

Instead, Alfredo Pedullà maintains the Aquile are pushing hard for Brandt, who can play as the left side of a trident attack or in a creative midfield role.

The asking price is believed to be at least €25m, so Joaquin Correa’s sale would help fund the deal for Maurizio Sarri’s side.

Dortmund paid €25m to sign Brandt from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019 and he made 45 competitive appearances this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

The 25-year-old is the son of former SC Borgfeld coach Jurgen Brandt.
