Lazio are closing in on Argentina U20 striker Adolfo Gaich, whose agent flew in for meetings, but are unwilling to pay his €15m release clause.

According to the website Lazionews.eu, the San Lorenzo striker’s agent is in the capital and could meet with representatives of the Biancocelesti.

Le Aquile sporting director Igli Tare is said to be an admirer of the forward, but the €15m asking price could prove to be a stumbling block to any potential deal.

The 20-year-old may have only scored two goals in 11 Primera Division games for the Bueno Aires based club, but impressed during the U20 World Cup, scoring three times.

Meanwhile, Everton and Genoa are also reportedly interested in the big striker.
