There are growing reports that Lazio have reached an agreement to sign Mario Gila from Real Madrid for €6m.

Sky Sport Italia claims Gila will move to the Stadio Olimpico on a permanent deal. The two clubs are completing the paperwork, but have shaken hands on the player’s price tag, so the 21-year-old will soon move to the capital.

Sportitalia reported last week that the Bianconcelesti were close to reaching an agreement with Madrid.

There are no reports on when the Spanish defender could land in the capital to undergo his medical examinations with the Serie A side.

Gila joined Real Madrid’s academy from CF Damm in 2017. He made his senior debut under Carlo Ancelotti last season, when he was introduced as a substitute in the second half of a La Liga clash against his former club Espanyol.

He made his second and last senior appearance with the La Liga giants in the final home match of the season against Levante.
