Lazio have started to eye a deal for Hugo Lloris, who is open to the move after he agrees his exit from Tottenham this month.
The Biancocelesti are currently working on selling Portuguese shot stopper Luis Maximiano to Almeria, cutting their losses on the 24-year-old only a year after his arrival following his disastrous debut season.
Lloris has entered the last 12 months of his contract with Tottenham and is expected to leave on a free transfer. The club have already picked up Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario to become their new long-term number one.
As reported by French journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Lazio are now in talks with Lloris and the goalkeeper is interested in the move to Rome.
He will be released from his contract with Tottenham soon, allowing him to find a new adventure in the twilight of his career.
The Frenchman’s entourage has also offered him to Real Madrid following Thibaut Courtois’ serious injury, but other goalkeepers are currently ahead of Lloris in the club’s list of targets.
