Lazio have reportedly agreed to loan Matteo Cancellieri to Empoli with an option to buy for a total €13m.
According to Sportitalia, the deal has been struck at a cost of €1m for the season, plus an option to make the move permanent for a further €12m.
The 21-year-old attacking winger works primarily on the right flank, but can also be used on the left.
He was also linked with Salernitana, Sassuolo and Torino this summer, but feels Empoli is where he can get the most regular playing time.
Lazio only signed Cancellieri from Hellas Verona last year on loan with obligation to buy for €8m.
He made 30 appearances for the club between Serie A, the Europa League and Conference League, although only four of those were in the starting XI.
Cancellieri was a product of the Roma youth academy before moving on to Verona and he has one senior cap for Italy.
