Lazio have reportedly lodged an enquiry with Napoli over a potential loan deal for out-of-favour winger Cyril Ngonge, just a few months after he arrived at the Stadio Maradona.
Lazio request loan deal for Napoli’s Ngonge
New Lazio coach Marco Baroni, who coached Ngonge during their time together at Hellas Verona, is the one who has identified the potential opportunity, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 24-year-old joined Napoli in a permanent deal from Verona back in January, at a reported cost of €18m.
However, he is not expected to be a first-choice starter under Antonio Conte, who opted to field Matteo Politano on the right-flank for Napoli’s first competitive match of the season, a victory on penalties over Modena in the Coppa Italia.
Ngonge did emerge off the bench in that game and was one of four Partenopei players to convert their spot-kicks in the shootout.
My poor Lazio!
