Lazio have reportedly agreed a double loan with obligation to buy deal to snap up Juventus players Luca Pellegrini and Nicolò Rovella.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the negotiations held today proved fruitful and have resulted in a basic agreement for the pair.

It would be worth €17m for Rovella and €4m for Pellegrini, so a total of €21m.

Left-back Pellegrini had already spent the last six months of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Lazio and was determined to make the move stick, as this is the club he has always supported.

The 24-year-old had also been linked with Milan, Fulham and OGC Nice over the summer.

It had already been suggested over the last few days that it would be a two-year loan with obligation to buy under certain circumstances.

Lazio went back to Juventus and asked to add 21-year-old midfielder Rovella to the deal, who will both be playing at the Stadio Olimpico under coach Maurizio Sarri.

Rovella spent last season on loan at Monza and was purchased from Genoa in January 2021 for €26m plus bonuses.

  1. Great mercato by Lazio so far. Signed Immobile’s backup and future starting striker: Castellanos. Strengthened depth at the RW position with Isaksen, replaced SMS with a very good player like Kamada and now have found a proper alternative to Cataldi for the regista position. Pellegrini also allows Marusic to play at his natural RB position. If they can get a mezzala too, they’ll be in great shape.
