Lazio, Sarri agree contract extension to 2025 – reports

Maurizio Sarri has agreed a contract extension to as Lazio head coach until 2025, according to various reports in Italy.

The former Napoli boss arrived in the summer and led the club to Europa League qualification with a fifth-place finish.

And both Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport report an agreement for the extension is complete with the official announcement expected imminently.

According to the reports, Sarri will earn a salary of €3.5 million net per year.

The Italian boss came to the attention of many outside of Italy with his sensational style of football at Napoli, dubbed ‘Sarriball’ which took the Partenopei close to winning the Scudetto in 2017-18.

He then left to manage Premier League side Chelsea won the Europa League, while he also led them back into the Champions League.

Despite that, he moved on to Juventus where he led the club to the Scudetto – their last to date – and Coppa Italia final, where he lost to former side Napoli.
