Chelsea and Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but their latest offers are not high enough for Lazio.

The Serbia international is one of the hottest commodities in Serie A after contributing to 22 goals in 47 appearances in 2021-22.

According to Il Messaggero newspaper, Chelsea and Newcastle United have already made offers for the 27-year-old, but their €55m bids are still not enough for Claudio Lotito.

Lazio wanted more than €100m for Milinkovic-Savic before the pandemic, but the Biancocelesti may agree to sell him for €70-80m in the summer. No club has yet offered as much, so Milinkovic-Savic will likely begin the pre-season with his current club.

His contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June 2024. Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio from KRC Genk in 2015 and has scored 48 goals in Serie A in 231 appearances. He made his senior Serbia debut in November 2017 and has gone on to score six goals in 34 games with his national team.

  1. 55 millions for the best serie a midfielder while his transfermarkt value is 70 m, of course those bids are rejected!

  2. SMS will seek for juve move next year for around 20-25 mil because he just want to stay in serie A
And this is not his fault, just lazio fault for their stubborness if they don’t sell him now

  3. It would be awful to see Sergej join another Italian team and play against us in the future but it would be really, really, tragic if he went to a team like Newcastle where he won’t win anything and is obviously going just for the money.

  4. Lazio you do need to sell him – you wont get the 70m euros for him, 55meuro is a good price – you lot can buy 3 very good players with that
