Lazio are ready to welcome Matteo Guendouzi and they’ve decided to open a new round of talks with Leonardo Bonucci.

The Biancocelesti are in the process of signing the 24-year-old French midfielder from Olympique Marseille on a €1m loan deal with a €12m buy option attached, with a further €5m in add-ons and a 10% future resale clause.

Lazio aren’t willing to stop in the market just yet, however, and are looking to pick up one more reinforcement before the end of the transfer window later this week.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have reopened talks with Bonucci as they look to explore a last-minute move for the veteran defender, who will not be reinstated to Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus squad.

Genoa are also interested in making a move for the 36-year-old and may decide to accelerate should the Biancocelesti fail to finalise a deal.

Union Berlin have also been linked with a move for Bonucci this summer, but the Juventus veteran seemingly prefers an option in Italy.
