Lazio have raised their offer for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Filip Kostic and are confident a deal will be done for €15m plus bonuses.
Kostic agreed terms with the Biancocelesti months ago, as reported by Sportitalia for some considerable time, but was waiting for the Serie A side to bring in fresh liquidity on the transfer market.
Now that moment has come, yet they are still to work out a fee with Eintracht Frankfurt.
This irritated the player, who did not turn up to training, creating further tension between the clubs.
Now Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà claims that Lazio have increased their proposal to €15m plus performance-related bonuses.
They trust that a deal can be done either tonight or tomorrow morning for the 28-year-old Serbia international, who can play on the left or right flank.
If this falls through, then Hellas Verona man Mattia Zaccagni is the alternative at €10m plus add-ons.
