Neither Maurizio Sarri nor Lazio players spoke to the media after a 3-1 loss against Juventus on Saturday to protest the referee’s decisions.

The Bianconcelesti were furious after Dusan Vlahovic’s opener in the first half, as they thought Weston McKennie had not prevented the ball from going out in the build-up.

According to DAZN, more decisions from referee Fabio Maresca infuriated Sarri and his staff members, so the Biancocelesti decided not to talk to the media after the final whistle.

Juventus were 2-0 up at the break, while Luis Alberto’s goal in the second half was quickly cancelled out by Vlahovic’s second goal of the day.

Lazio have collected three points in the opening four Serie A games this season, having also lost against Genoa and Lecce. Their only victory so far in 2023-24 came in an away match against defending champions Napoli before the international break.

This coming Tuesday, Lazio will host Atletico Madrid at the Stadio Olimpico in their Champions League debut this season.
