Lazio are having more negotiations with Fenerbahce to resolve the Vedat Muriqi impasse and the Corriere dello Sport claim Bastos could be the key.

The striker had seemingly agreed a deal weeks ago for €18m, but then the Turkish side raised the asking price.

Talks continued and it’s reported they have stepped up considerably this weekend.

It should eventually come to a cost of €18.5m plus €2m in bonuses.

The report in Turkey from ajansspor.com claims it is €20m plus bonuses, with the player receiving a five-year contract worth €2.6m per season.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Lazio will raise the extra cash by selling Bastos first.

He has several proposals from Turkey and France, so could potentially be sold to Fenerbahce as part of the Muriqi deal.
