Lazio are hoping to sign Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi in the summer and have reportedly started planning out a possible deal.

The Biancocelesti currently sit second in the Serie A table and are hoping to secure qualification to the Champions League, something that’ll give them more resources to work with in the summer transfer window.

The repeated injuries suffered by Ciro Immobile this season has left Lazio with a slight lack of firepower up front, something the club are hoping to finally resolve with an important investment.

As detailed by Corriere dello Sport, Lazio want to bring in Berardi this summer but are aware that Sassuolo wanted around €40m last year, so they have a plan in mind to lower the costs of a deal.

The Biancocelesti are hoping to include Matteo Cancellieri in a possible deal. The Neroverdi wanted to sign the 21-year-old last year before he headed to the Italian capital, so a swap deal could work for both parties.
