Lazio’s lawyer is “not totally satisfied” with UEFA’s decision to close only the Curva Nord against Apollon Limassol due to racist chanting.

The club had originally been ordered to play the match behind closed doors, but today the appeal was partially accepted, limiting the closure to just the section of the stadium where the chants came from.

“We expected the verdict on Friday, not today,” lawyer Gian Michele Gentile told lalaziosiamonoi.it.

“It is less damage than we expected, but we are not totally satisfied either. The fans need to be more careful with certain things.

“We had asked for the ban to be revoked, but were only able to contain the effects. This remains a heavy sanction.”
