Lazio released a statement assuring Ravel Morrison is in London on authorised leave and has not sparked a legal battle.
The 23-year-old joined on a free transfer in 2015, but has barely set foot on the pitch, as Stefano Pioli and then Simone Inzaghi criticised him for his work-rate.
There were reports in Il Tempo newspaper that Morrison hadn’t shown up for team meetings and instead ran away to London, hoping to force a contract termination.
