Lazio will carry out a new round of swabs ahead of the match against Juventus and Ciro Immobile could reportedly be back against the Old Lady.

Tuttomercatoweb claims the differences in the protocols could allow Immobile to return against Juventus, despite being blocked from playing against Zenit St Petersburg on Wednesday.

Lazio are fighting to say it’s not connected to COVID-19 and the player who was blocked by UEFA, was on the pitch against Torino last weekend, when he scored a decisive goal towards the end of the 4-3 win.

The N gene has been discussed in Italian media after the controversy over swabs and positive tests between UEFA and Serie A, as Lazio had three players available against Torino that were later blocked by the European Association.

TMW reports the laboratory in Avellino, headed by Massimiliano Taccone, said ‘they were all negative in Turin’.

Tomorrow, the Biancocelesti will carry out another round of tests, and the report expects Immobile on the pitch this weekend, even if the Italy international was blocked by UEFA for being slightly positive to the N gene ahead of Zenit.

Lazio patron Claudio Lotito reportedly doesn’t rule out a lawsuit against UEFA and Torino have sent a letter to the FIGC, requesting clarification after Sunday’s match.
