Edy Reja believes Lazio will have to play the perfect game if they are to beat Inter tomorrow evening.

Lazio are looking to stay in second place and preserve their four-point cushion over the reigning Scudetto holders who have won their last two games on the bounce in all competitions.

"Winning would certainly open up an important game," Reja said. "It would be really great. It would bring great enthusiasm to our fans and increase our conviction.

"We'll need to play the perfect game. I hope that we show the right intelligence from a tactical point of view. My Lazio is conscious of being a strong team.

"We have shown it on the pitch with good performances, good football and above all with results. There is confidence and self-esteem."

When asked if Lazio will roll over like they supposedly did last season on account of their being twinned with Inter, Reja said: "That is the past. The same thing will not happen."
