Maurizio Sarri and Luciano Spalletti are not expected to rotate in tonight’s meeting at the Stadio Olimpico despite their imminent European fixtures.

Sarri and Spalletti make their 2022-23 European debut next week but are unlikely to rotate their squads tonight.

It kicks off at 19.45, after Fiorentina-Juventus and Milan-Inter.

It’s a special game for Lazio boss Sarri, a former Napoli coach who almost won the title with the Partenopei.

Elseid Hysaj out for Lazio, Matias Vecino favourite over Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson over Pedro.

The last draw between Lazio and Napoli in Serie A was in November 2016, Napoli won nine games and lost two since. The Biancocelesti collected four draws in the last six Serie A games, as many as in the previous 21.

Immobile has contributed to nine goals in the last 10 league games against Napoli, while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored only one goal in 13 games with the Partenopei.

Diego Demme is injured for Napoli, Mario Rui favourite over Olivera and Lozano over Matteo Politano.

Napoli beat Lazio four times out of four in September meetings, scoring at least three goals per game. The Azzurri are the team with the most victories at the Olimpico (against Roma and Lazio) since 2013-14.

Napoli didn’t score in the last away game at Fiorentina and haven’t gone two consecutive away games without scoring since December 2020. Lazio are Giovanni Simeone’s favourite victim (12 goals scored against the Biancocelesti), but the Argentinean should start on the bench tonight.
