Lazio have agreed terms with Hellas Verona for Ivan Ilic and Nicolò Casale, but first they need to sell Luis Alberto to Sevilla.

Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà has reported for some time that Luis Alberto wants a return to Spain and is not part of coach Maurizio Sarri’s plans, as he was dropped several times last season.

However, agreeing a fee with Sevilla is proving trickier than expected, unable to reach his €30m asking price.

Meanwhile, Lazio are stuck and unable to sign his replacement until they have been able to release Luis Alberto.

The plan is already in motion, with a double deal done for Verona midfielder Ilic and defender Casale.

As for Casale, he had been on the verge of a transfer to newly-promoted Monza until he suddenly pulled out with the medical already planned.

This is because he had his heart set on Lazio, where he would follow Matteo Cancellieri, who has already completed his move on loan with obligation to buy for a total €7m.

  1. Lazio beginning to create pipeline from Verona. Zaccagni was impressive in his debut campaign and with Cancellieri, plus potentially Ilic and Casale to follow, Lazio are having a solid mercato getting younger.

These guys all have starter potential but even if just sqiad players, good prices and quality.

  2. Clubs like Lazio or Napoli that qualifying UCL every three years should accept good offers instead of demanding unreasonable fee.
For example, they should accept inter or Juventus’s 30m for Alberto in the last two seasons. Now Alberto is valued at 15m at most. This applies to Fabian, Sergej.
    Truth hurts.
