Lazio confirmed the new signing Vedat Muriqi has tested positive for coronavirus and is expected to be out until mid-October.

The Kosovo international moved to Lazio from Fenebahce this month and the Aquile have, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19.

The new Biancocelesti striker underwent the swab test in Turkey, where he had returned to complete the paperwork for his transfer from Fenerbahce.

Muriqi, who carried out his medical examinations in Rome last week, is in isolation and is asymptomatic.
