Lazio are unwilling to sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and deny Newcastle have offered €60m to sign the Serbia international in January.

The Magpies are long-time admirers of SMS, as confirmed by the midfielder’s agent Mateja Kezman this past August.

According to Il Messaggero, Lazio have recently received a €60m bid, including bonuses, for the 27-year-old who has been offered €10m a year for five years plus a signing bonus of €12m.

However, club sources quoted by Calciomercato.com deny the offer, insisting that the price tag is much higher, around €80-100m and that Lazio do not want to sell their star in January.

Milinkovic-Savic’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires in June 2024 and negotiations over a new deal have not even begun.

The player’s agent Kezman, a former Chelsea striker, hasn’t yet scheduled a meeting with the Biancocelesti who will be forced to sell in the summer if they don’t want to see the midfield leave for free next year.
