Claudio Lotito confirms Valentin Castellanos will join Lazio but insists he hasn’t received offers from Saudi Arabia for Ciro Immobile.

Castellanos is expected to undergo his medical with Lazio next week.

“I have clear ideas, I told Maurizio Sarri not to tell me names [of players he wants to sign], but only the positions he wants to cover. I pick the players,” Lotito told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“There is an entire department in Formello that only focuses on scouting. Castellanos has arrived and it was an expensive signing. Now Maurizio is asking me for a Regista, a defender, a winger a Mezzala and, not necessarily, a left-back. I have all names in my mind.”

Lotito has just sold Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal for €40m but insisted that “Nobody has told me anything” about an offer for Immobile from the Saudi Pro League.

“I had offered Milinkovic-Savic a contract extension, but his agent said he had received a €40m proposal from a Saudi club, €18m after taxes,” Lotito continued.

“The player wanted something new but the first offer for Lazio was €15m. I told them that €15m or €0m was the same for me and that he would have run a lot around the pitch with that fee. So €15m became €30m and then €40m.”
