Lazio are forced to make the Conference League trip to CFR Cluj without Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Mattia Zaccagni, Alessio Romagnoli and Patric.

They won the first leg 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico with a fantastic Ciro Immobile volley, despite seeing Patric sent off just 15 minutes in for a very harsh interpretation of stopping a clear scoring opportunity.

The defender is therefore suspended, with Romagnoli already on the treatment table with a hamstring strain.

More bad news for Maurizio Sarri today, because a stomach bug has been doing the rounds within the squad, hitting first Milinkovic-Savic – who was already ruled out for the Verona game in Serie A at the weekend – and then his teammate Zaccagni.

It is particularly bad luck for Zaccagni, who had been suspended against Salernitana and was therefore rested with his focus all on this Conference League play-off.

Stefan Radu is also injured and it seems that either Luka Romero or Matteo Cancellieri could start, especially as Pedro is not at 100 per cent either.
