Lazio are looking to off-load Vedat Muriqi after a dismal debut season and one option could be a return to Fenerbahce.

The Kosovo international cost €18.5m plus bonuses to sign from Fenerbahce in September 2020, but managed only two goals and one assist in 25 competitive games.

He was meant to provide an alternative to hitman Ciro Immobile, but ended up below Joaquin Correa and Felipe Caicedo in the pecking order.

If Lazio fail to qualify for the Champions League, they will cut costs, with Muriqi the first on the list to be sold.

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, a return to Fenerbahce is possible, with the Turkish side missing 17 goals in 36 games from 2019-20.

A Premier League sale also has potential if they can find someone prepared to pay the full amount, such as Burnley for regular playing time, or Manchester United and Tottenham as more of a squad player.
