Lazio are linked with Milan’s Alessandro Matri after Coach Stefano Pioli warned “we need another striker.”
Filip Djordjevic was ruled out of tonight’s 1-0 Champions League play-off win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Miroslav Klose went off at half-time with what he admits could be a “serious” muscular injury, leaving no centre-forwards.
“We have certain needs,” said Pioli in his Press conference.

“We already needed another striker and Klose’s injury only amplifies that. Apart from the fact we can’t change the Champions League squad for the second leg, we still need another player in attack.”
According to both Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset, the chosen figure is Matri.
He is still owned by Milan after loan spells at Genoa and Juventus last season.
It was while at Juve that Matri scored the winning goal in extra time for the Coppa Italia Final, beating Lazio.
Lazio would be likely to take the 30-year-old on loan or pay approximately €5m for full ownership.
